“STEAM INTO THE FUTURE” is an out of school time program with a focus of increasing Science Technology, Engineering Arts and Mathematics foundations (STEAM) pathways of success for individuals between the ages of 5 to 17 years old. “STEAM INTO THE FUTURE” was designed to address the academic challenges associated with at risk youth completing STEAM associated degrees.

  We also host the STEAM-A-GANZA community connectivity events that unites communities and provides the public platform for program participants to share their accomplishments with their families and communities.   

STARR was incorporated on July 20, 2012 in our efforts of preparing and positioning underserved communities with STEAM pathways to success. STARR has partnered with several Chicago organizations in our community outreach initiatives of increasing STEAM Awareness.  In August of 2020, STARR jump-started  “STEAM INTO THE FUTURE” and has partnered with Chicago Public Schools, City Colleges of Chicago, Kids First Chicago, LuBug Academy, and the National Society Of Black Engineers. STARR sustains a free robotics program in the Auburn Gresham community, and offers career development workshops. STARR STEAM initiatives are international and we started, and sustains robotics clubs at four schools in Lagos, Nigeria. 

 STARR Community Services International INC mission is to strengthen community values by providing positive family engagement, increase Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) to provide pathways to success and connect resources with individuals seeking to obtain gainful careers that will close the wealth gap and inspire economic advancements in at-risk communities and beyond.
