On September 14, 2024, at Foster Park, S.T.A.R.R. is hosting our 1st Semi-annual “STEAM-A-GANZA”, fundraiser to highlight program participants accomplishments, and provide an innovative community connectivity platform for communities to explore STEAM opportunities. There will be live entertainment, free food, robot building, vendors, prizes, 360 booth, games, ASTRONOMY ADVENTURES, fun and much more.

STARR acknowledges the academic gaps and wealth disparities connected with the lack of knowledge and preparation in obtaining STEAM careers. Therefore “STEAM INTO THE FUTURE” is specifically designed to address the challenges of at-risk youth.
“STEAM INTO THE FUTURE”, advocates for youth in underserved communities by preparing them early in their educational journey with critical thinking skills, STEAM foundations, and career mentorship to increase their chances of becoming STEAM Leaders of the future.
There are many ways to support STARR's mission of increasing STEAM awareness in underserved communities. You could support monetarily, or contribute with an In-kind donations of materials/equipment required to sustain our programs. All forms of support are appreciated, and we are looking for volunteers.
STARR's Parent Leader Team community initiatives are to prepare and position underserved communities with the knowledge, skills, and resources required so they are able "STEAM INTO THE FUTURE" of success. STARR aims to organize, unite, and educate communities on the importance of raising household incomes in impoverished communities and highlight pathways to economic advancements that will eliminate generational poverty. Our next meeting will be October 24, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Foster Park, 1440 W 84th Street.
